Kinnovis GmbH in Spain seeks a product and delivery leader to own Kinnovis Access, guiding two teams (Spain hardware/software and Austria-based platform) toward aligned priorities without hands-on coding. You’ll shape the roadmap, drive architecture decisions, estimate work, and coordinate across Spanish and English communication, bridging hardware, devices, cloud integration, and the management platform.

• 4+ years in software development or related field.

Your mission

You will take ownership of the product and the technical side of Kinnovis Access, our access-control system for self-storage sites. Two teams work on it, and your role is to keep them aligned and moving in the same direction.

On one side, the team here in Spain that builds and deploys the hardware and software at each site: Raspberry Pi, PLCs, keypads and the new cloud integration layer. On the other, the Kinnovis Manager team in Austria that runs the management platform Kinnovis Access integrates with.

You are the link between the two. You decide what gets built and in what order on the Access side, you coordinate the engineers here, and you report progress to Austria. You need enough technical depth to make architecture calls, estimate with judgement and be taken seriously by the engineers, and at the same time the ability to order the work, prioritise and communicate across two teams and two languages.

This is not a hands-on coding role, the engineering team covers that. What we need is someone who understands the technical side well enough to steer it.

What you'll do

Product and delivery

• Prioritise by impact, effort and strategy, and make sure the team ships outcomes, not just tasks.
• Run the team's rituals (planning and tracking) and keep everyone focused.

Leading the technical team

• Coordinate and give direction to a small software and hardware engineering team.
• Work side by side with the engineers on architecture, trade-offs and estimation.
• Unblock the team: triage bugs, set priorities and make the call when something breaks in production.

Bridge between Access and the Manager

• Be the point of contact for the Kinnovis Manager team in Austria: align the cloud integration between Kinnovis Access and the platform and resolve dependencies between the two sides.
• Report progress, risks and blockers to leadership in Austria clearly.

Technical view of the whole system

• Understand the system from end to site: the devices at each facility, the cloud integration layer and how it all connects to the Kinnovis Manager.
• Make technical decisions with a build-it-once-and-properly mindset rather than patching around problems.

What you bring

• A software development background (ideally 4+ years of experience at some point in your career). You won't be coding day to day, but you do need to have done it to understand the system, make architecture calls and estimate with judgement.
• Product Owner experience or an equivalent role: turning needs into scope, a backlog and delivery.
• The ability to lead and coordinate a small engineering team.
• Comfort with APIs, integrations and system architecture.
• Genuine interest in the hardware and device side. You won't be coding it yourself, but you have to understand it to lead the project.
• Spanish (on C2 level) and English (on dC1 level): you'll work with clients and the team in Spanish and with Austria in English every day.
• A problem-solver, self-directed, comfortable making decisions in a changing environment.
• Based in Elche/Alicante or willing to relocate.

Nice to have

• Experience in access control, IoT or home automation.
• Experience with Raspberry Pi / embedded Linux, PLCs or serial communications (Modbus, RS-485).
• A habit of working with AI / LLMs day to day.
• Experience coordinating distributed or international teams.
• Knowledge of the self-storage industry.
