Technical Product Manager (m / f / d) - Animal Nutrition
WHAT YOU WILL DO
The function of our unit ENN / ED is to understand driving technologies and market needs in the animal feed enzyme industry in order to drive innovation. They are responsible for the development of new and innovative products, technical marketing and application, ensuring that products and solutions meet the demands of the market.
- As Technical Product Manager, you define and implement the product positioning within the animal nutrition segment, including determining and adjusting product specifications. You actively participate in the creation of industry as well as product strategies, project work, concepts and services.
- Regarding customer orientation and engagement, you identify customer needs, particularly in terms of applications of feed enzymes and translate these into value-oriented drivers that can be realized in business. Furthermore, you build and maintain strong relationships with key customers providing them with technical insights and support.
- You provide technical assistance to customers, address their queries, troubleshoot product-related issues, and interact with regional groups. On top of that, you create and maintain technical datasheets, product manuals and other relevant documentation.
- Additionally, you conduct market analysis to identify trends, customer needs and the competitive landscape (product benchmarking) while collaborating with R&D to develop new feed enzyme products / services, enhance existing ones and coordinate development work.
- Besides ensuring that all products meet regulatory standards and maintain up-to-date documentation, you are responsible for supporting quality assurance to ensure product quality and compliance.
- Finally, you develop and deliver training programs for sales teams and customers on the technical aspects of feed enzymes. Generate and effectively communicate scientific findings through presentations at conferences and publications in technical journals.
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU
- PhD in animal nutrition, animal science or related fields
- At least 2 years of experience in the animal feed industry
- Strong understanding of feed enzyme application and feed formulation (matrix values, feed ingredients and the ability to apply this understanding to develop and improve feed enzyme products)
- Proficiency in interpreting and evaluating scientific data
- Effective communication skills and a collaborative team mindset
- Proficiency in English (spoken and written); basic understanding of German is advantageous
