Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Lead with strong technical expertise in backend and frontend technologies to join our Gaming team. In this pivotal role, you will provide technical leadership, mentor team members, and serve as the bridge between stakeholders and development teams. You will be responsible for driving engineering excellence while ensuring our gaming platforms deliver exceptional performance, scalability, and user experiences. What You'll Bring To Us:

Technical Skills

• Minimum 15 years of software engineering experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
• Strong proficiency in Java backend development (Spring Boot, microservices architecture)
• Solid experience with React, TypeScript, and modern frontend technologies
• Experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes)
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
• Knowledge of database technologies (both SQL and NoSQL)
• Experience with cloud platforms (preferably GCP)
• Familiarity with gaming industry technologies and integration patterns is a plus

Leadership & Team Management

• Lead, mentor, and inspire a multidisciplinary team of engineers, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment
• Take ownership of team composition, including selection, onboarding, offboarding, and capacity planning
• Track and monitor team performance, drive continuous improvement, and address attrition proactively

Project Ownership & Delivery

• Propose, prioritize, and manage backlog tasks, aligning them with sprint goals and delivery timelines
• Oversee the entire lifecycle of software projects, from development and testing to deployment and support
• Ensure code quality, efficiency, scalability, and maintainability through rigorous reviews and best practices

Client Success & Consulting

• Act as a trusted advisor to clients by identifying and proposing impactful solutions
• Deliver value exceeding client expectations and align technical strategies with their goals

Communication & Collaboration

• Serve as a communication bridge between clients, product managers, stakeholders, and teams
• Foster a collaborative culture through open communication

Technical Expertise & Innovation

• Drive continuous improvement in engineering practices and leverage industry trends and technologies
• Develop new features, maintain deployments, and ensure system integrations

Operational Excellence

• Monitor and ensure delivery milestones are met, balancing scope, quality, and timelines
• Identify and mitigate risks early, optimize workflows, and reduce technical debt

Business Skills

• Understanding of software development lifecycle and project management methodologies
• Ability to make data-driven decisions aligned with business objectives
• Knowledge of gaming industry trends and challenges is a plus
