Role overview

We are seeking an experienced Technical Lead to drive strategic projects and design complex solutions within the utilities sector. This role combines technical leadership and project management responsibilities to support the Application Maintenance function, guiding solution design, integrations, DevOps support and change management.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage initiatives and projects, ensuring delivery quality and financial control.
• Design and coordinate complex technical solutions and integrations across systems.
• Provide technical support for DevOps implementation and cloud strategy.
• Manage access control, governance and permissions in collaboration with security teams.
• Define and enforce change-management procedures and new operational processes.
• Use Agile methodologies and tools (Jira, Confluence) to manage work and documentation.
• Mentor and coordinate cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

Required skills and experience

• 10+ years of experience in technical leadership, solution design and project management.
• Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies and experience with Jira / Confluence.
• Familiarity with the energy / utilities sector and GDPR compliance.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills (English B2+ / C1).
• Proven experience designing and delivering complex technical solutions.

Desirable qualifications

• Hands-on experience with DevOps and cloud strategies (AWS / Azure / GCP).
• Experience coordinating integrations, APIs and system migrations.
• Portuguese and / or Spanish language skills (valued).
• Availability for occasional onsite presence in Oviedo (2-3 days / week).
