We’re looking for a Technical Lead to join our client in the SaaS industry. In this hands-on leadership role, you’ll drive technical direction, mentor a team of engineers, and shape a modern serverless backend architecture using AWS, Node.js, and Python. This is a high-impact opportunity to define engineering standards, lead cross-functional initiatives, and scale reliable systems in a fast-paced, product-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead backend architecture decisions, building scalable, secure systems in an AWS serverless environment (Lambda, API Gateway, SQS, SNS, DynamoDB, etc.)
• Mentor a team of 3–8 engineers, providing regular 1:1s, technical coaching, and growth opportunities
• Translate business needs into robust technical solutions in partnership with product managers and stakeholders
• Set coding standards and champion best practices across engineering workflows
• Guide system design, reviewing architecture for scalability, maintainability, and performance
• Drive observability and reliability through logging, monitoring, and alerting strategies
• Own code reviews and ensure high-quality delivery across all backend projects
• Lead incident response for production issues and implement long-term solutions
• Foster a culture of knowledge sharing, technical documentation, and continuous improvement
• Evaluate and adopt new technologies that improve engineering effectiveness and platform stability

Required Skills & Experience

• 8+ years in software development, including 3+ years in a technical leadership role
• Expertise in Node.js and Python, with strong experience in asynchronous programming and optimization
• Deep understanding of AWS serverless architecture and security practices
• Solid database knowledge across both SQL and NoSQL systems
• Experience designing CI/CD pipelines and automated testing strategies
• Track record of architectural leadership and making high-impact technical decisions
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills

This is a hybrid role with flexibility and requires eligibility to work in the relevant region without sponsorship.
