Formación

  • Más de 3 años de experiencia en contabilidad/informes.
  • Conocimiento de contabilidad en reaseguro según HGB, IFRS y Solvencia II es un plus.

Responsabilidades

  • Revisar estados de cuenta de reaseguro y procesarlos en nuestros sistemas.
  • Preparar monitoreo de cuentas para clientes seleccionados y explicar movimientos trimestrales.

Reinsurance Accounting is a motivated, diverse global team of experts committed to providing timely reliable accounting information and related services in an efficient manner to internal and external stakeholders. For our team in Life Accounting Madrid we are looking for a talented, experienced professional to join our team and who is committed to work with internal and external clients. In an exciting environment the Life Client Accountant acts as the Single Point of contact and ensures the service deliverables are met.

Your Job:

  • Check reinsurance statements of account based on the reinsurance terms and conditions and process them in our systems.
  • Ensure the quality of data for the quarterly closing and annual financial statements, committing to the department’s service standards affecting turnaround times.
  • Preparation of account monitoring for selected clients and explanation of quarterly movement to senior management.
  • Subject matter experts on specific accounting topics.
  • Drive and participate in accounting related projects across divisions locally and globally.
  • Corresponding with and advising cedants on accounting and general administration matters.
  • Respond to client enquiries accurately and professionally and if necessary, liaise with other departments within MR for support to ensure an efficient and professional response is given to achieve client satisfaction.
  • Conduct client reviews/audits & internal reviews.
  • Provide timely and effective business support including financials, accounting & reporting related issues and regulatory impacts to meet business needs as required.
  • Forge strong relationships with Life business units including middle offices (e.g. CM, Claims, Data Management etc.) to ensure all consulting & service needs are met.

Your Profile:

  • Degree in business management, with an accounting focus and/or completed business studies qualification and +3 years' accounting/reporting experience.
  • Knowledge of accounting, preferably in re/insurance accounting based on the HGB, IFRS and Solvency II is a plus.
  • Good business knowledge and understanding of various aspects of the business operations and the associated financial dynamics, financial reporting systems.
  • Experience in project driven environment and awareness of project management methodology.
  • Analytical skills and accuracy in dealing with figures.
  • Self-confident approach combined with a high degree of commitment and dedication to work effectively and independently, willing to face new responsibilities.
  • Team spirit; interest in and capability to expand, maintain and pass on knowledge.
  • Strong communication skills and high degree of intercultural competence.
  • Excellent language skills in Spanish and English. Portuguese is a plus.
