We work in a leading Spanish airline looking to expand our team with a new Data Product Owner. This exciting role requires a highly motivated and experienced individual with a passion for cutting-edge technologies and a strong background in data management and innovation. As the Data Tech Product Owner, you will be responsible for researching, identifying, and implementing data-driven solutions to revolutionize the airline industry.

Responsibilities :

  • Research and Stay Updated on Data Technologies : Identify how these technologies can be utilized in developments to drive data-driven decision-making and improve customer experiences.
  • Identify opportunities and use cases for these technologies : Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business objectives and challenges. Support the Business to identify opportunities for leveraging data and analytics to address these challenges and drive business growth.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and external partners to implement new integrated solutions : Work closely with development teams, creating user stories in Jira, and tracking team performance. Seek improvements in agile ways of working and ensure efficient data product development. Lead the implementation of system integrations and demonstrate their value and potential. Ensure the solution designs meet industry quality standards such as cybersecurity, robustness, scalability, and cost efficiency.
  • Quality Assurance and Impact Assessment : Ensure data quality and robustness in each system integration. Know your data thoroughly and secure Data Governance. Track product OKRs, continuously evaluate the product's success, and make recommendations for improvements.
  • Communicate with key stakeholders : Ensure effective communication with key stakeholders, ensuring that the data solutions meet their needs and deliver a positive impact on the business. Keep stakeholders informed about progress, findings, and opportunities for growth or optimization.
  • Be a technical reference : Act as a technical authority by understanding system architecture and proposing streamlined system integrations. Demonstrate expertise in various systems, identifying optimal pathways for seamless integration.

Required Skills, Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field; or relevant work experience in these fields.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in IT and innovation.
  • Strong understanding of the latest Data tech trends.
  • Experience in AWS native technologies.
  • Prior development and SQL experience.
  • Strong understanding of technology product delivery standards, frameworks, and methodologies.
  • JIRA and scrum master experience.
  • Industry knowledge.
  • AI and GenAI understanding and prior experience.
  • SAFE certification.

Skills

  • Senior-level IT leadership, gained in a complex global organization, with extensive experience of delivering significant business outcomes and values through the creation and leadership of agile product teams.
  • Senior business partnering, working as a valued partner with senior stakeholders and strategic third parties across a diverse operation.
  • Strong leadership with a proven ability to influence and persuade internally and externally.
