Tech Lead / Principal Java Developer - Spain - Retail - Remote (2x travel a month)

Looking to take the lead on high-impact, technically complex projects? I'm on the lookout for a Tech Lead / Principal Java Developer to guide the technical evolution of a product, drive architectural excellence, and lead a talented team across back-end and full-stack development.

This is more than a coding role! You'll shape strategy, drive resilience, and play a key part in both delivery and team growth. If you thrive on ownership and enjoy collaborating closely with clients and product teams, this could be your next big move.

What You’ll Do :

1. Write clean, scalable Java code using modern frameworks
2. Drive the technical direction and evolution of the product
3. Act as the go-to technical authority and architecture lead
4. Ensure smooth operations, incident resolution, and system resilience
5. Support CI / CD processes and testing best practices
6. Collaborate on the product backlog and align technical requirements
7. Manage technical debt and champion continuous improvement
8. Lead deployments and keep product documentation current
9. Mentor and grow a high-performing team

What You’ll Bring :

1. Strong communication skills and ability to work in dynamic, client-facing environments
2. Deep expertise in Java, Spring, and Spring Boot
3. Experience with REST APIs, Microservices, and scalable architectures
4. Proven track record of leading technical teams

6. Availability to attend client meetings in Northern Spain a few times a month
