ODM is evolving to support modern AI/ML pipelines in drug discovery. You will help shape APIs and infrastructure for seamless integration with current and future AI workloads.

Our current technology stack includes Java, Kotlin, ClickHouse, MySQL, Solr, Kubernetes, and Python, but we are eager to innovate and adapt.

In this role, you will:

• Maintain and evolve system core, APIs, and related components;
• Optimize data storage and backend systems for throughput, latency, and scalability;
• Drive architectural evolution and manage technical debt aligned with the product vision;
• Ensure our system remains AI-ready and future-proof.

We would like you to have:

• 8+ years of experience in software engineering with a strong backend focus;
• Deep understanding of CS fundamentals (OOP, algorithms, data structures);
• Extensive experience with data storage solutions: RDBMS, columnar databases, search engines, NoSQL technologies;
• Strong experience with messaging systems;
• Expert-level skills in Java and Kotlin;
• Proven success in system-level refactoring;
• Ability to identify and resolve performance bottlenecks;
• Experience defining and achieving performance benchmarks;
• Quick learner in complex domains;
• Interest in life sciences, data science, and ML/AI applications;
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills;
• Fluency in English.

It would be nice if you have:

• Knowledge of biology and genetics;
• Experience with profiling, tracing, and performance tools;
• Familiarity with Python.
