CIC energiGUNE is seeking a Team Leader in Applied Cell Engineering & Process Intelligence to guide a customer-facing team that translates capabilities in materials, electrode processing, prototyping, testing, digital manufacturing and modelling into industrially relevant battery solutions.

The role requires a PhD or equivalent, extensive Li-ion/Na-ion R&D and proven ability to manage relationships with OEMs across Europe, Asia, and the United States, fostering interdisciplinary collaboration in

• PhD or EngDin in a relevant field (Materials Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics).
• 10+ years of direct R&D experience in Li-ion and Na-ion battery research.
• 5+ years of experience managing technical and commercial relationships with OEMs and industrial clients across Europe, Asia, and the US.
• Proven track record translating fundamental research into applied solutions.

The person will lead a customer-facing applied team that translates CIC energiGUNE’s capabilities in materials, electrode processing, prototyping, testing, digital manufacturing and modelling into industrially relevant battery solutions.

Requirements

• PhD, D.Eng or EngDin Materials Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or related fields.
• More than 10 years of direct R&D experience in the field of Li-ion and Na-ion battery research.
• More than 5 years of experience managing technical and commercial relationships with OEM and other industrial clients across Europe, Asia, and the United States
• Proven track record in translating fundamental research into applied solutions,
