A leading technological center in Terrassa is seeking a Researcher in Energy Storage Materials and Recycling. The role involves hands-on research in battery development, collaboration on innovative projects, and contributing to the recycling of batteries. You will work within a dynamic team, gaining exposure to advanced energy storage technologies. Ideal candidates should have a background in electrochemistry and materials science, along with strong analytical and communication skills. Formación

• Strong foundational knowledge in electrochemistry and materials science.
• Familiar with testing methods such as CV, EIS, and galvanostatic charge/discharge.
• Previous experience in battery research or recycling is a plus.

We are looking for a motivated candidate to incorporate as RESEARCHER ENERGY STORAGE MATERIALS AND RECYCLING:

Position Overview:

As a Researcher in our energy storage group, you will be involved in hands‑on research and development focused on battery cell preparation, testing and battery recycling activities. You will also have the chance to contribute to European and local industrial projects, collaborating with various international and national partners to drive innovation in energy storage solutions. This is an excellent opportunity to grow your skills in a cutting‑edge field, working closely with experienced scientists on a variety of projects.

Key responsibilities:

• Perform Li‑ion coin cell preparation, including slurry mixing, electrode preparation, and cell assembly.
• Perform activities for Li recovery from different sources (used batteries, brines)
• Conduct electrochemical testing, such as cyclic voltammetry, EIS, galvanostatic charge‑discharge, and related methods.
• Carry out materials characterization techniques, including SEM, XRD, and thermal analysis (e.g., DSC, TGA) for next gen batteries.
• Assist in the analysis of experimental data to optimize materials and cell performance.
• Participate in European and local projects, contributing to the development and implementation of advanced energy storage technologies.

Qualification:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electrochemistry, Chemistry, Materials Science, or related fields.
• Strong foundational knowledge in electrochemistry and materials science.
• Familiar with electrochemical setup and testing methods such as CV, EIS and galvanostatic charge/discharge.
• Previous hands‑on experience in battery research, energy storage, battery recycling or related field is a plus
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Languages:

• Fluent level of Spanish and English, oral and written.
