Hitachi Energy Ltd. in Madrid, Spain is seeking a Power Electronics Engineering Team Leader to grow and lead a team of engineers delivering Grid Integration and Power Electronics projects.

You will balance technical leadership with people leadership, promoting safety and quality, and collaborating with Global Centers of Competence in Sweden and Switzerland. The role requires a degree in engineering, at least 6 years of leadership experience in related fields, fluency in English and Spanish, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering.
• Minimum 6 years of relevant experience leading a team in Control Engineering or related roles.
• Experience in power, utilities, grid integration, substation or FACTS environments.
• Fluency in English and Spanish.
• Willingness to travel up to 10% annually.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of Power Electronics Engineers, balancing technical excellence with people development.
• Oversee Control Application activities including commissioning work within Power Electronics Solutions.
• Manage resource planning, workload allocation and budget planning for the cost center.
• Build a high-performing team and maintain strong networks with Engineering Managers across global centers.
