Hitachi Energy Spain, S.A.U. is seeking a Senior System Engineer in Madrid to lead power electronics and system simulations for grid and power quality solutions.

You will own the engineering scope from sales through project execution, collaborating with Sales, other engineering teams and Service to deliver high‑impact converter systems. The role requires a Master’s in electrical engineering, hands-on experience in power electronics, and proficiency in Matlab/Simulink, with English as the primary

Formación

• Master’s degree in electrical engineering with focus on power systems and power electronics.
• Solid knowledge in power electronics and/or power system simulations.
• English fluency; willingness to travel internationally (<10%).

Responsabilidades

• Design power electronic converter systems from sales to project execution with site visits.
• Own system engineering scope throughout project execution with cross-functional teams.
• Perform simulations, harmonic and transient analyses, and define components and controls.
• Ensure compliance with standards, specifications and grid codes; identify risks.
• Collaborate with R&D on system design and modeling of converters.
• Define on-site performance measurements and report results.
• Share knowledge to improve engineering processes and participate in conferences.
• Support customers and suppliers with clear documentation.
