Role summary

We are seeking to appoint a motivated and enthusiastic Teacher of History to join our team on a temporary basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Key Stage 3 and 4 students (ages 11–16), following the UK National Curriculum, including IGCSE History.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high-quality History lessons in line with the UK curriculum
• Prepare students for IGCSE History exams, including effective assessment and feedback
• Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of learners
• Monitor and track student progress, maintaining accurate records
• Contribute to the development of schemes of work and departmental planning
• Create a positive, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment
• Communicate regularly and effectively with students, parents, and colleagues
• Participate in staff meetings, planning sessions, and school events as required

The ideal candidate will have

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS or equivalent)
• We accept both UK and Spanish teaching qualifications
• Proven experience or strong understanding of the UK curriculum, including IGCSE History
• Ability to inspire and motivate students across Key Stages 3 and 4
• High level of English (spoken and written) is essential
• Strong communication and classroom management skills
• Eligible to work in Spain
