The chosen candidate will join the Corporate Taxation Department of the Tax Advisory Directorate, belonging to Ferrovial’s General Economic-Financial Directorate.
- Global corporate taxation advisory for Ferrovial entities in every jurisdiction.
- Together with the Tax Planning team you will provide advice, guidance and support to our foreign subsidiaries with regards to a diverse variety of tax matters, e.g. cross-border restructurings, withholding tax matters, financing implications etc.
- You will be in contact with local external tax advisors and review and challenge advice received and share the outcome with other stakeholders within the organization.
- You will closely interact with our regional and local tax colleagues and act as their sparring partner to discuss and align tax impacts as well as tax-efficient structures of certain projects.
- You will support complex tax projects with a focus on international group tax law, foreign tax law as well as double taxation agreement and EU tax law. You will work with colleagues from different business areas as well as interdisciplinary teams from different hierarchical levels and in your interface function you will actively consider the different requirements of the various departments.
- You will participate on preparing and analyzing the annual Corporate Income Tax expense provision, both current and deferred, of the Group.
- You will participate and provide support in tax defense and litigation whenever there are any tax audits, disputes arisen in all jurisdictions relating to corporate tax matters.
- Collaborate and provide support in Global Reporting tasks.
Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)
- Degree in Business Studies and/or Law.
- Master in taxation.
- Experience of at least 3 years in a law firm, Big 4 and/or in-house tax department.
- Experience working with team members across geographies, collaborating and building relationships with stakeholders in commercial, financial and legal functions.
- Analytical, technology and a data-driven mindset.
- Highly collaborative team player.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Proficiency with the MS Office applications.
