Your responsibilities :

The Tax Lawyer will support the Spanish Tax Team in the legal and compliance aspects of the company’s tax function. Reporting to the Spanish Tax Manager, this role focuses on assisting with tax advisory, litigation, audits, and corporate restructuring processes. The position requires a qualified lawyer registered with the Spanish Bar Association (ICAM or equivalent), as it includes responsibilities related to legal representation in administrative and judicial tax matters.

Supportive role, ideal for candidates with a solid academic background in tax law and a strong interest in developing their career within a collaborative and experienced in-house tax team.

Additional responsibilities include :

• Assist in providing internal tax advisory services, including contract reviews, legal research, tax risk assessments, and legal reporting
• Support the monitoring of tax obligations related to corporate restructurings and legal simplification processes
• Represent the company in administrative and judicial tax litigation, including drafting legal documents and supporting internal case management
• Collaborate in the preparation and response to tax audits, including documentation handling and coordination with tax authorities
• Assist in managing tax notifications and requirements, and provide internal guidance to other departments as needed
• Request and manage tax certificates (e.g., debt-free, census, IAE)
• Coordinate the filing and validation of tax powers of attorney with the Spanish Tax Agency (AEAT)
• Contribute to the management of local taxes, including audits and consultations
• Provide general legal and administrative support to the Spanish Tax Team on various tax-related matters

Our requirements :

• Bachelor’s degree in Law
• Master’s degree in Taxation
• Membership in the Spanish Bar Association (ICAM or equivalent)
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience in tax law
• High level of fluency in English (spoken and written)

Preferred Qualifications :

• Experience in a Big Four firm or a major law firm
• Knowledge of French or Italian
• Ability to understand and document complex business processes
• Strong attention to detail and excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to identify tax risks and propose practical solutions
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant digital tools
