The advisory body serves as a resource and liaison to the Board of Supervisors, the Community Development Agency, the Planning Commission, and the community. It reviews and comments on discretionary land use, zoning applications, and community plan amendments within the Tamalpais Planning Area, which includes Tamalpais Valley, Homestead Valley, Almonte, Muir Woods Park, and Tennessee Valley.
Members serve three-year, staggered terms. The committee comprises five members.
Starting October 1, 2022, stipends are available for members who certify household income below the county's self-sufficiency standard. For more details or to apply, visit the Board Stipends Program Webpage.
Meetings are held on the first and third Wednesdays of each month. For more information, call 473-6269.
