Formación

Position Title

Technician for Metro Guarantee L1 - L3

Duration and Location

Permanent position based in Barcelona.

General Mission of the Position

The guarantee technician will report to the guarantee manager or intermediate supervisor and will be responsible for coupling operations, testing, commissioning, unit support, technical support at the client control center, modifications, improvements, software loading, and corrective maintenance activities in workshops and on-line. The focus will be on the new S7000 L3 and S8000 L1 trains of the Barcelona Metro, ensuring compliance with quality and service standards.

Main Activities

1. Comply with safety regulations and operational procedures.
2. Perform coupling, testing, commissioning, unit support, technical support, modifications, software loading, and corrective maintenance activities on the new trains.
3. Tasks include electronics, instrumentation, assembly, electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, etc.
4. Capable of solving all job requirements responsibly and with quality, following detailed instructions.
5. Report and record results of operations to keep the database updated.
6. Perform data collection like temperatures, humidity, cycle durations, wear, faults, anomalies, etc.
7. Data recording and basic analysis.
8. Perform complex corrective maintenance repairs on railway equipment.
9. Operate powered or suspended lifting machines (forklift, crane, hoist).

Job Requirements

Essential:

• FP II or higher technical degree, preferably in Electromechanics.
• Knowledge and practice of electronic or electrical instrumentation tools and low/medium/high voltage equipment.
• Mechanical measurement tools (torque wrenches, calipers, etc.).
• Knowledge of industrial refrigeration is valued.

Languages: Spanish is mandatory; English is a plus.

Desired Professional Experience

Experience in industrial maintenance, especially in railway maintenance, working with medium/high voltage, mechanics, and industrial refrigeration.

Availability

• Willingness to work 24/7 in rotating shifts (morning, afternoon, night) and occasional on-call duties.
• Work locations include Santa Eulàlia and Sant Genís workshops, other facilities of the operator, and ALSTOM’s Santa Perpètua factory.
