Position details

As an AI Platform Engineer with an interest in building complex systems, you will be responsible for inventing how we use technology, machine learning, and data to enable productivity. You will help build, deploy, and develop our next generation of platforms and tools at scale.

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled AI Platform Engineer with hands-on experience to design, develop, and maintain robust AI infrastructure. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in enhancing our AI capabilities by leveraging modern cloud technologies and practices.

Key Responsibilities

1. Design and implement scalable AI platform solutions to support machine learning workflows.
2. Build and deliver software using Python; proficiency in other programming languages is a plus.
3. Deploy infrastructure and tooling for running Machine Learning or Data Science at scale using Infrastructure as Code.
4. Utilize DevOps strategies to enable automation.
5. Build pipelines and practices for MLOps to accelerate and automate machine learning processes.
6. Manage and optimize deployment of applications on Amazon EKS (Elastic Kubernetes Service).
7. Implement Infrastructure as Code with tools like Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
8. Provision and scale AI platforms such as Domino Data Labs, Databricks, or similar systems.
9. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI solutions into AWS cloud infrastructure.
10. Drive automation and develop DevOps pipelines using GitHub and GitHub Actions.
11. Ensure high availability and reliability of AI platform services.
12. Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues promptly.
13. Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in AI and cloud technologies.
14. Experience with GxP compliant life science systems is a plus.

Qualifications

1. Proven experience with Amazon EKS and AWS cloud services.
2. Strong expertise in Infrastructure as Code with Terraform and AWS CloudFormation.
3. Proficiency in Python programming.
4. Experience provisioning and scaling AI platforms like Domino Data Labs, Databricks, or similar.
5. Solid understanding of DevOps principles and CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions.
6. Familiarity with Git and GitHub for version control.
7. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and in teams.
8. Strong communication and collaboration skills.
