We are seeking a visionary and results-driven Chief Architect to lead our efforts in designing and deploying cutting-edge data center systems, full-stack computing solutions, and advanced fabrics. As the Chief Architect, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of high-performance computing (HPC), artificial intelligence (AI), and cloud infrastructure by driving innovation in system architecture, interconnects, and RAS technologies.
In this strategic leadership role, you will oversee the design and implementation of end-to-end computing systems that power our next-generation datacenters. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of hardware, software, networking, and advanced cooling solutions, while maintaining a relentless focus on performance, efficiency, scalability, and reliability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development of innovative system architectures for datacenters, focusing on full-stack computing systems, including compute nodes, memory subsystems, interconnect fabrics, power delivery, thermal management, and control planes.
- Define high-level requirements for next-generation computing platforms that align with customer needs and market trends in AI, HPC, and cloud computing.
- Architect advanced network fabrics and interconnect solutions to enable ultra-low latency, high-bandwidth communication between compute nodes, GPUs, memory modules, and other components.
- Collaborate with hardware and software teams to optimize fabric performance for datacenter-scale deployments.
- Drive the design of robust RAS features to ensure system reliability, fault tolerance, and ease of maintenance in large-scale datacenters.
- Lead efforts to implement predictive analytics, automated error recovery, and proactive monitoring solutions for system resilience.
- Work closely with hardware architects, software engineers, and product managers to integrate cutting-edge technologies into our computing systems.
- Collaborate with external partners, customers, and standards organizations to define industry-leading specifications and best practices for datacenter deployments.
- Develop long-term strategic plans for system architecture evolution, ensuring alignment with the company’s vision for AI, HPC, and cloud infrastructure.
- Identify emerging trends and technologies that can be leveraged to maintain a competitive edge in the market.
Qualifications:
- Advanced degree (Master’s or Ph.D.) in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 15+ years of experience in system architecture, with a strong focus on datacenter infrastructure, high-performance computing, and/or AI accelerators.
- Proven track record of leading large-scale system design projects for datacenters or cloud environments.
- Deep expertise in one or more of the following areas: computer architecture, network fabrics, memory subsystems, thermal engineering, or power delivery systems.
- Experience with RAS design principles and implementation in enterprise-grade computing systems.
- Proficiency in designing full-stack computing systems, including compute, memory, interconnects, and control planes.
- Strong understanding of modern datacenter architectures, including AI/ML workloads, HPC clusters, and cloud infrastructure.
- Knowledge of advanced cooling technologies (e.g., liquid cooling) and their impact on system design.
- Familiarity with emerging standards for interconnect fabrics (e.g., PCIe, CXL, NVLink).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in designing systems for AI/ML workloads or HPC environments.
- Familiarity with modern cloud infrastructure and containerization technologies (e.g., Kubernetes).
- Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and their integration into system design.
- Track record of collaborating with external partners, customers, or standards organizations to shape industry trends.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive consensus across diverse stakeholders.
- Excellent communication skills, both technical and interpersonal, to articulate complex ideas clearly to engineers, executives, and customers.
- Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on translating high-level goals into actionable plans.
- Lead a team of architects, engineers, and designers to deliver high-quality system designs on time and within budget.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous learning.
