Are you passionate about testing high-performance avionics and defense systems ? Mercury Systems is expanding its test team between Madrid and Geneva, and we’re looking for a System Verification Engineer to play a crucial role in ensuring safe flight operations and top-tier performance.

Mercury Systems is a leading American company with a strong presence in Switzerland, the UK, and Madrid. In our Madrid office, we specialize in designing and manufacturing mission-critical avionics and defense computers equipped with multiple processors, real-time operating systems, and advanced interfaces such as video, data buses, GPIO, and analogues .

Your Mission

You will be responsible for verification and validation activities , ensuring our systems meet the highest standards of reliability and performance. This role requires defining test strategies , writing test cases, developing test scripts and automation tools , and executing formal test runs. Additionally, you will contribute to environmental testing , including temperature, vibration, lightning, and electromagnetic verification .

You’ll collaborate with interdisciplinary teams across software, firmware, hardware, and mechanical engineering to drive product excellence.

What You Will Do

• Define and verify test environments , including testing tools, testbenches, and cable specifications.
• Write test cases to ensure product specifications are met.
• Develop test scripts for automated product testing.
• Perform test campaigns and generate official test reports.
• Contribute to environmental testing (DO-160, MIL-STD-810, etc.).

Your Profile

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Electronics Engineering or related field.
• Fluent in English and Spanish .
• Proven experience in systems test development (preferably in avionics).
• Software expertise in C, Python, and LUA .
• Experience with Linux and real-time operating systems .
• Strong background in high-speed interfaces (GETH, PCIe, HDMI, SATA) and avionics protocols (MIL-1553, ARINC429, CAN).
• Hands-on experience with test equipment (scopes, analyzers, JTAG probes, etc.).
• Autonomous, proactive , and skilled in working with multi-disciplinary teams .
• 3-5 years of relevant technical experience.
