How to contribute to our vision

For our SW development team within the SCADA department, we are looking for a skilled and dedicated System Architect. The SCADA team is a part of the bigger Power Plant Solutions department with employees in Spain, Denmark, Germany, and India.

Going forward we are aiming for a microservice-oriented architecture connected by a middleware layer and taking advantage of containerization. The software development follows agile methods and continuous delivery principles.

Your tasks and responsibilities include:

  1. Excellent knowledge of modern technologies to define, design, and implement a modern edge SW platform to be deployed for wind farms globally.
  2. Mentoring and empowering the application development teams.
  3. Assisting in the development and review of technical deliverables.
  4. Establishing standards, developing repeatable processes, and designing reusable components.
What You Need To Make a Difference

Passion for renewable energy and a sense of the importance of leading the change. We are looking for you, who wants to make real what matters and who wants to change the world to renewable energy.

The ideal candidate holds an academic degree related to Computer Science, IT, SW Engineering, or System Engineering in combination with extensive knowledge and working experience (5+ years) in:

  1. Capturing and validating main system requirements derived from customer specifications or internal needs.
  2. Defining system architecture, including a functional breakdown and allocation according to system requirements.
  3. Breaking large systems into subsystems and items that can be easily handled by individual engineers or development teams.
  4. Designing the overall system layout and interface for system management.
  5. Integrating subsystems and system items to ensure the smooth functioning of the entire system.
  6. Liaising with various development teams to ensure seamless coordination during the system design process.
  7. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure successful system integration.
  8. Participating in Agile SW sprints and sprint planning activities.
  9. Publishing and maintaining all required product documentation.

Most importantly, you understand how to design secure solutions on both software and infrastructure level, and can communicate needs between corporate and technical staff. You have a high professional competency and you have a desire to develop your skills. You have good collaboration skills and you can manage to act in different cultural contexts. To thrive in this position, you must have a strong result- and customer-oriented approach.

As part of our hybrid work policy, you will have the chance to work 2 days remotely and 3 days in the office. Office locations include Bilbao or Madrid, therefore being fluent in Spanish and English is a must.
