The role:

GTD Defense & Security Solutions designs, develops, and integrates systems and products to secure and protect people, critical infrastructures, and territories. We create systems that support all kinds of peacekeeping and search & rescue operations, from HQ to personnel on the ground, including training and simulation tools.

We are looking for a SW Development Engineer to join our I&C area in GTD Defense & Security Solutions, the company of GTD Group specialized in the design and development of large, complex and/or safety-critical applications. The position will be based in Cadiz, El Puerto de Santa Maria.

Position activities:

As part of the Software Development Team in Navantia’s BAM IS program, you will contribute to the design, implementation, and testing of the Underwater Operations Control System (SCO). Your main responsibilities will include:

• Supporting software design in alignment with system specifications.
• Developing software according to technical requirements.
• Performing static and dynamic software testing.
• Generating software builds and managing version control.
• Assisting in the execution of unit, integration, and qualification test protocols.
• Providing support during ship trials (HAT and SAT).
• Identifying, documenting, and resolving software anomalies detected during testing.
