The Catalog Support Engineering team in Prime Video operates in a dynamic, global environment, prioritizing innovation to enhance customer experience. We focus on delivering the world's largest digital video selection with top quality. We seek high-caliber Support Engineers to handle engineering challenges that impact millions of global customers. Key job responsibilities

Support Engineers in Prime Video provide frontline support for business-critical services related to digital video delivery. Responsibilities include managing distributed systems, diagnosing issues, and mitigating problems using documented procedures, internal tools, and debugging skills in a Linux environment. The role involves rotating 24x7 on-call coverage, monitoring system performance, and troubleshooting catalogue defects and issues.

A day in the life
  • Become a subject matter expert on supported services.
  • Own support activities and collaborate with development teams to improve service support.
  • Operate independently to resolve issues and drive solutions.
  • Understand the business logic and architecture of supported services.
  • Mentor and train other Support Engineers, providing documentation and tools to facilitate support activities.
About the team

The Catalog Support Engineering team handles complex title issues, such as video, audio, subtitles, artwork, and offer discrepancies, detected via Computer Vision, Machine Learning, QA teams, customers, or partners.

Basic Qualifications
  • Experience in technical support or software engineering roles.
  • Scripting skills in languages like Python or Bash.
  • Troubleshooting and debugging technical systems.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's in Computer Science or equivalent.
  • Proficiency in Linux/Unix OS.
  • SQL and data analytics skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Self-starter with strong ownership.
  • Experience with processes, SLAs, issue resolution, monitoring, and metrics.
