Supplier Quality Engineer Montmeló, Spain

As a Supplier Quality Engineer, you will liaise with all our current and future suppliers. You will validate any new parts or suppliers against production and customer requirements as well as our quality standards. You will manage supplier nonconformities based on root cause analysis to avoid recurrence.

What You Will Do

• Evaluate and validate new suppliers to be part of BOLD’s supplier panel.
• Analyze and evaluate special customer-relevant quality requirements.
• Provide input and liaise with suppliers during the RFI and RFQ stages of the acquisition phase.
• Analyze and implement requirements for purchased parts in new developments and technical changes.
• Manage supplier PPAP and purchased part related APQP.
• Supplier Quality Management from acquisition phase to SOP and during production.
• Perform Supplier audits and assist engineering and procurement teams from the quality point of view.
• Product and process validation for new components at supplier site.
• Initiate and follow through to completion any supplier NCR.
• Travel up to 60% to suppliers (mainly Spain).

What You Need to Succeed

• 5+ years of experience as a Supplier Quality Engineer.
• Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Electric, Electronic or Industrial Engineering, or equivalent professional work experience.
• Experience on ISO9001 certification.
• Deep knowledge and experience in the use of core tools (problem solving, APQP, PPAP, FMEA, 8D, etc.).
• Expertise in electric and/or electronics components.
• Experience with battery packs.
• Understanding the testing requirements and validate battery products at a high level.
• Auditor VDA 6.3.
• Experience on Aerospace standards at production level with AS9100 certification.
• Experience on Automotive standards at production level with IATF certification.
