A leading company in mini pumps is seeking a Business Development Manager based near Madrid to enhance sales through a wholesaler network. The ideal candidate will have experience in HVACR or related sectors, be fluent in English, and is willing to travel extensively.

Business Development Manager – Central Spain

SALARY : Up to €40,000, bonus & company car

LOCATION : Madrid

Our client is the global leader for mini pumps with the most reliable, installer friendly and innovative products on the market. As the business has grown, so has its operational footprint with its UK Head Office and manufacturing site. They are also based in France, Germany, Spain, Italy, Australia, India, and the USA. As a result of continued growth, they are looking to recruit a new position of Business Development Manager to be responsible for increasing sales and market share with several key accounts, with the preferred base in and around the Madrid area. Their route to market is through a wholesaler network.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Working with the Regional Manager to ensure close management of key wholesalers / distributors
  • Identify and agree on new wholesalers to target for the region
  • Optimise the breadth of our client's range to increase market share with existing accounts through merchandising and training (at branch level) to ensure their brand is high profile
  • Participate in Exhibitions, Trade Fairs, Wholesaler / Distributor branch events, and sales meetings as required
  • Monitor stock levels, competitor products, and activities
  • Perform regular training at wholesaler / distributor branches for installers

Candidate Profile :

  • Fluent in English is essential
  • Proven track record of working within a wholesaler / distributor network
  • Experience in either HVACR, construction, air conditioning, or building materials sectors
  • Independent worker who is confident in using their own initiative
  • Strong commercial insight
  • Proven track record of sales to a wholesaler / distributor network
  • Willingness to travel frequently (anticipate 75% of time will be in the field)
