Tamarind Intelligence is seeking an experienced SCADA/Power Plant Control engineer to design, implement, and maintain SCADA systems for multi-technology projects in the energy sector.

You will work on plant and substation SCADA, data logging, PLC/RTU integration, and PPC control algorithms, ensuring grid code compliance and reliable operations across sites. International travel is expected alongside a hybrid work model.

Formación

• At least 5 years of experience in projects with industrial protocols (Modbus, DNP3, IEC 101/104, IEC 61850).
• At least 5 years of experience in developing and implementing SCADA systems.
• At least 5 years of experience in databases, programming and scripting.
• At least 5 years of experience in power plant control (PPC) development, configuration, or grid code compliance.
• At least 5 years of experience in BESS integration and/or HPPC/Master PPC control for hybrid power plants.

Responsabilidades

• Plant SCADA development and maintenance using Ignition platform.
• Substation SCADA development and maintenance using SICAM, WinCC, or similar.
• Definition of SCADA systems: central plant and substation SCADA, dataloggers, PLCs, RTUs.
• Monitoring of SCADA projects developed by third parties.
• Definition of communication protocols: Modbus, DNP3, IEC-104, IEC-61850, OPC.
• On-site implementation of SCADA systems.
• SCADA projects documentation development.
• Development and implementation of PPC control algorithms and logic.
• Definition and configuration of grid code compliance requirements for PPC control.
• Integration of PPC control systems with SCADA and substation equipment.

Mission

Development and maintenance of SCADA and control systems for the multitechnology projects developed by the company, including substation SCADA and Power Plant Controller (PPC) control logic, ensuring reliable monitoring, control, and grid code compliance across substations and plants.

Responsibilities

• Plant SCADA development and maintenance using Ignition platform.
• Substation SCADA development and maintenance using dedicated substation SCADA/HMI platforms (e.g., SICAM, WinCC, or similar).
• Definition of SCADA systems: central plant and substation SCADA, dataloggers, PLCs, RTUs.
• Monitoring of SCADA projects developed by third parties.
• Definition of communication protocols: Modbus, DNP3, IEC-104, IEC-61850, OPC.
• On-site implementation of SCADA systems.
• SCADA projects documentation development.
• Development and implementation of Power Plant Controller (PPC) control algorithms and logic (active/reactive power control, voltage regulation, frequency response).
• Definition and configuration of grid code compliance requirements (voltage/frequency ride-through, power factor control, ramp rates) for PPC control.
• Integration of PPC control systems with SCADA and substation protection/control equipment.

DESIRED EDUCATION

• Master in Telecommunications Engineering / Degree in Telecommunications Technology Engineering or equivalent.

COMPLEMENTARY EDUCATION

• Knowledge of grid codes and power plant control (PPC) standards. Knowledge of BESS integration and hybrid power plant control (HPPC/Master PPC) standards

TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE

• English level: C1
• Expert level of:
• Programming
• Scripting
• Database. SQL Server, PostgreSQL
• SCADA substation platforms
• PPC / Power Plant Control
• BESS (Battery Energy Storage Systems)
• HPPC / Master PPC

Required Experience

• At least 5 years of experience in projects with industrial protocols (Modbus, DNP3, IEC 101/104, IEC 61850...)
• At least 5 years of experience in developing and implementing SCADA systems.
• At least 5 years of experience in databases, programming and scripting.
• At least 5 years of experience in power plant control (PPC) development, configuration, or grid code compliance.
• At least 5 years of experience in BESS integration and/or HPPC/Master PPC control for hybrid power plants.

WORKING CONDITIONS
