Stylized 3D Environment Artist Project Lead

Room 8 Studio is an international art production and game development outsourcing company that provides external services worldwide. Together, we create exceptional projects, elevating the game development industry in quality and creativity. Our services range from mobile and console game porting to AAA game art, television, and film animation.

Next great challenge is coming:

We are seeking a highly skilled artist experienced in leading projects involving stylized environments, equipment, and weapons for the position of Project Lead Artist.

Superpowers you have are:

  • Experience in creating high-poly and low-poly models of stylized environments, weapons, and hard surface assets based on concepts;
  • High-poly sculpting in Zbrush;
  • Low-poly modeling in Max, Maya, or Blender;
  • Experience in creating optimal UV mappings and texture baking (normal, AO, etc.);
  • Stylized texturing skills in Substance Painter and/or hand-painted texturing;
  • Ability to interpret and enhance concept ideas accurately;
  • Experience in a project lead role;
  • Ability to evaluate team members' work objectively and provide constructive feedback;
  • Sociability and teamwork skills;
  • Intermediate English level or higher.

You're a rockstar if you have:

  • Experience building scenes in game engines like Unreal Engine 4, Unity, etc.;
  • Strong skills in creating materials using Substance Designer;
  • Knowledge of rendering techniques in V-Ray, Arnold, and others.

As part of Room 8 Studio, you will:

  • Manage projects related to stylized environments, weapons, and hard surface assets;
  • Ensure quality control of artists' work;
  • Assist and resolve artistic and technical issues within the team;
  • Organize and oversee team tasks and workflows;
  • Create high and low poly models of stylized objects, weapons, and equipment according to concepts and style;
  • Develop optimal UV mappings and bake necessary textures;
  • Produce stylized textures.
