Santander Corporate & Investment Banking in Madrid seeks a Structured Trade Finance Associate to design and execute sophisticated trade finance solutions for international transactions. You will lead negotiations with clients and coordinate with Risks, Legal, and Middle Office to ensure robust structures.

We value 4+ years in structured trade, commodity or project finance, plus legal or accounting insight. The role offers a hybrid model, engaging with global teams and Santander Open Academy

Formación

• Experience in structured trade finance, commodity finance or project finance.
• Background in law or accounting is valued and beneficial.
• Fluent in English and Spanish is preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Lead end-to-end structuring and legal execution of structured trade deals with clients.
• Conduct due diligence including financial modelling and risk analysis.
• Drive origination with global Santander teams and Relationship Managers.
• Navigate structuring, accounting, risk, and legal challenges through deal lifecycles.
• Lead product development within Structured Trade to strengthen the franchise.
• Develop sector expertise and collaborate with wider SCIB teams.
