Banco Santander SA in Madrid seeks a Structured Trade Finance Associate to lead end‑to‑end structuring and execution of complex trade deals. You will front client negotiations, coordinate with Risks, Legal, and Middle Office, and drive deal origination with global Trade Finance teams.

The role requires 4+ years in structured trade/commodity/project finance, a legal or accounting background is valued, and fluency in English and Spanish.

Formación

• At least 4 years of professional experience in structured trade finance, commodity finance, or project finance.
• Experience in law firms or accounting consultancies is valued.
• International experience is a plus.
• Fluency in English and Spanish.

Responsabilidades

• Lead end-to-end structuring and legal execution of structured trade deals, fronting negotiations with clients.
• Conduct thorough due diligence including financial modelling and asset analysis.
• Drive origination with team and Relationship Managers across Santander’s offices.
• Prepare detailed client presentations and pitches to capture opportunities.
• Navigate structuring, accounting, risk, and legal challenges throughout deal lifecycles.
• Lead product development initiatives to strengthen the Structured Trade franchise.
• Develop specialized commodities sector expertise to gain client trust.
• Collaborate with other SCIB areas to integrate trade solutions.
