Job summary

Banco Santander S.A. in Madrid seeks an experienced Structured Notes Issuance & Platform Oversight Associate/VP to manage end-to-end issuance and lifecycle activities for complex structured products.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Law, Finance, Economics, Business, Engineering or related discipline (Required)
• Experience interpreting financial contracts, securities documentation or issuance programme documentation (Required)
• Experience in structured-note issuance, issuance programmes, repacks, public offers, listings, product governance or securities lifecycle processes (Preferred)

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the end-to-end issuance and lifecycle management of structured notes and structured flow transactions across internal issuance and repack arrangements and open multidealer platforms such as SPIRE.
• Oversee daily issuance flow, operational coordination, documentation completeness, incidents, exceptions and timely escalation, working closely with Structuring, Sales, Trading, Legal, Compliance, Tax, Treasury, Operations and Technology.
• Maintain effective governance and control frameworks for the issuance activity, supporting audits, assurance reviews, management information and regulatory or internal reporting.
• Monitor regulatory developments and jurisdiction-specific requirements affecting review and interpretation of financial and legal documentation, including issuance programme documents and related contracts.
• Maintain oversight of operational risks, control weaknesses, incidents and remediation; define and monitor KPIs and drive root-cause analysis.
