Job summary

Banco Santander S.A. in Madrid is seeking a Structured Notes Issuance & Platform Oversight Associate / Vice President to join X-Asset Investment Solutions within Santander CIB.

You will coordinate end-to-end issuance and lifecycle management of structured notes, while ensuring robust governance, documentation and regulatory reporting. The role requires strong capital markets experience, English fluency, and the ability to collaborate across legal, operations and technology teams in a hybrid

Qualifications

• Professional experience in capital markets, structured products, securities issuance, legal, product governance, business management, operations or a comparable control function.
• Experience interpreting financial contracts, securities documentation or issuance programme documentation.
• Experience in structured-note issuance, issuance programmes, repacks, public offers, listings, product governance or securities lifecycle processes.
• Experience partnering with business teams and first- and second-line control functions across multiple jurisdictions.
• Languages: English high proficiency; additional languages (German/Italian/French/Spanish) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate end-to-end issuance and lifecycle management of structured notes and related transactions across internal issuance and repack arrangements and open multidealer platforms such as SPIRE.
• Oversee daily issuance flow, coordination, documentation, incidents, exceptions and timely escalation, working with Structuring, Sales, Trading, Legal, Compliance, Tax, Treasury, Operations and Technology.
• Maintain governance frameworks for issuance activity, supporting audits, reviews, management information and regulatory reporting.
• Monitor regulatory developments and interpret related documentation and requirements across jurisdictions.
• Support distributor onboarding and governance, manage public offers and private placements with standardized processes.
