Formación

  • 2+ years of experience in Mechanical Engineering, preferably in Railway products.
  • Proven experience in Finite Element Analysis for over 2 years.

Responsabilidades

  • Perform Finite Element Analysis using Hyperworks software.
  • Prepare and document calculation discipline reports according to project schedules.

Could you be the full-time Stress Engineer in Barcelona we’re looking for?

Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your calculation expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside young and proactive teammates.

You'll perform discipline activities and deliverables on project taking into account applicable instructions/processes and other specific customer (internal or external) requirements. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (project management, engineering), define load cases according to applicable standards, either static and cycle loads; as well as boundary conditions and much more.

You’ll specifically take care of performing the calculation discipline activities and producing associated deliverables in compliance with quality commitments, but also creating meshed models from CATIA 3D models, with either 1D, 2D or 3D finite elements, with Hypermesh software.

We’ll look to you for:

  • Performing the Finite Element Analysis in Hyperworks software, analysing calculated deformations, stresses and vibration modes obtained.
  • Suggesting design improvements of calculated parts
  • Defining gauges position for strain gauge test with full scale parts and performing correlation analysis with test results.
  • Preparing and documenting calculation discipline reports, calculation notes showing FEA conclusions, according to project schedule and following-up the main open actions.
  • Applying discipline rules, processes and tools and ensuring discipline calculation deliverables quality and their acceptance by the Customer (internal) within committed limits
  • Managing calculation discipline FEA engineers on Project (external).
  • Perform quotation of engineering workpackage , upon request
  • Supporting Sourcing, Industrialization and Manufacturing teams during Production ramp-up.
  • Collaborating with the department manager for continuous improvement of the Domain (including return of experience)

  • Mechanical Engineering preferably applied to Railway products with more than 2 years of experience.
  • Finite Elements Analysis proved experience for more than 2 years
  • Desirable knowledge and experience with Altair Hyperworks softwares (Hypermesh, Hyperview, Hypergraph…) for more than one year.
  • Good Communications and interpersonal skills including with third parties (customer), time management, and sense of urgency.
  • English operational in read/writing and technical meeting.
  • High level of Spanish
