Job summary

Markel Spain in Madrid is seeking a Business Transformation & Data Manager to drive operational excellence and technology-enabled improvements across Southern Europe. You will bridge Operations, Technology, Data and stakeholders to implement the Southern Europe TOM and scalable processes.

Role requires data analysis, systems design, automation, and governance. Fluency in Spanish and English is essential; French/Italian/Portuguese are a plus. Madrid-based on-site with strong benefits.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of experience in Business Analysis, Technology or Transformation.
• Experience in insurance, financial services or regulated industries.
• Proven experience leading international and cross-country initiatives.
• Fluency in Spanish and English.
• Additional knowledge of Italian or Portuguese is an advantage.
• The legal right to live and work in Spain.

Responsibilities

• Lead business transformation and process excellence initiatives across Southern Europe.
• Translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications.
• Coordinate strategic projects across Operations & IT, Finance, Underwriting, Claims and European Data teams.
• Act as primary contact for European Data Engineers & Analysts teams.
• Work with IT to ensure solutions meet technical standards and are implemented.
• Develop KPI frameworks, dashboards and management information for data-driven decisions.
• Prepare executive presentations and project updates for governance.
