Cloudera is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to join our Streams Messaging and Streaming Analytics teams, shaping a cloud-native platform used across Edge to AI.

You will provide architectural leadership, mentor engineers, and drive cross-functional initiatives involving Apache Flink, Kubernetes, and secure, scalable streaming services.

This role offers global collaboration with teams in Hungary and the United States, a strong ownership culture, and opportunities to influence product direction.

Formación

• BS/MS in Computer Science or related field; 8+ years of software engineering.
• Strong background in distributed systems and cloud-native software.
• Expertise in Java and modern streaming technologies.

Responsabilidades

• Provide architectural leadership for cross-functional streaming initiatives.
• Develop expertise in Apache Flink and Cloudera Streaming.
• Design and release scalable, secure cloud-native features.
• Lead design discussions across distributed systems and APIs.
• Mentor engineers and drive production adoption.
• Collaborate with PM, UX, SRE, and other teams.
• Contribute to engineering best practices and open source efforts.
