Zero Hash is seeking a Senior / Staff Software Engineer to architect and enhance our distributed systems infrastructure while building new features. We are a high-performing team looking for an ambitious and driven teammate who thrives in a dynamic environment.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, technically proficient, and passionate about solving complex problems. You will have the opportunity to learn and adapt to new technologies, including blockchain, while contributing to mission-critical systems.

This is a fully remote role for candidates based in EMEA.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and support a diverse range of digital assets.
• Architect and develop new features, including staking-as-a-service.
• Serve as a subject matter expert for stakeholders, including customers.
• Contribute to the design and development of software in an event-driven microservices environment.
• Develop microservices primarily in Golang.
• Collaborate with platform engineers to set up new services.
• Respond to production issues and alerts, participating in on-call rotations.
• Communicate directly with client technical teams as needed.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience, preferably in the Fintech space.
• Deep proficiency in Golang. Knowledge of languages such as C++, Rust, Python, Erlang, or Elixir is also acceptable.
• Strong understanding of microservices and distributed systems at scale.
• Familiarity with cryptographic protocols, signatures, and hashing.
• Experience building and operating software in multi-regional cloud infrastructure.
• Secure software design and development; ability to evaluate security trade-offs.
• Focus on quality assurance with a testing mindset.
• Experience leading teams and translating business requirements into technical solutions.
• Resourceful, proactive, and capable of going from 0 to 1.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and troubleshooting abilities.
• Comfort with ambiguity and independent hypothesis testing.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with production systems involving distributed architectures.
• Understanding of blockchain technologies and applications.
• Experience with smart contracts.
• Active involvement in the crypto and blockchain community.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
