Job summary

MONEI is seeking a Staff Manager — Apps to own the mobile experience end to end. You will lead a small group of UPC interns, review code, and shape an architecture that ships to production. You’ll also code and make architectural calls, balancing mentor responsibilities with hands-on delivery.

Ideal candidates have 4+ years building production mobile apps, strong Swift/Kotlin, and TypeScript experience. English and Spanish fluency is required.

Qualifications

• 4+ years building and shipping production mobile apps, with end-to-end ownership.
• Strong native mobile development (Swift and/or Kotlin).
• TypeScript, or willingness to learn — stack is TypeScript top to bottom.
• Experience mentoring or leading engineers (onboarding juniors, code reviews).
• You still write code and ship; not a hands-off leadership role.
• Solid API integration, state management, offline behavior, CI/CD, and release cycles.
• Professional English and Spanish (C1+).

Responsibilities

• Take ideas from prototype to product and evaluate which become real features.
• Own mobile apps end to end — architecture, code quality, releases, store submissions, monitoring.
• Lead and grow a small team of interns; manage onboarding, goals and reviews.
• Break work into shippable tasks three months into juniors' first jobs.
• Ship the roadmap with Product; participate in decision-making for what gets built.
• Collaborate with backend/frontend engineers on schema design, tokens, error handling.
• Set mobile engineering standards for testing, CI/CD, reviews, and documentation.
• Monitor metrics like crash-free rate and time to first transaction.
