dLocal is seeking a Staff Engineer in Madrid to join the Payments Performance team. You will design and evolve systems powering payment routing, fraud prevention, and anomaly detection, ensuring high performance and compliance.

Collaborate with tech and product leaders to deliver scalable Java applications, mentor teams, and drive architecture decisions using Spring, Hibernate, AWS/GCP, and monitoring tools.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in software engineering or computer science required.
• 7+ years of professional Java development experience.
• Strong Java architecture and design skills.
• Solid knowledge of OO design and patterns.
• Experience with Spring and Hibernate frameworks.
• Proficient in cloud platforms (AWS or GCP) and monitoring tooling.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsabilidades

• Design, develop, and maintain high-quality Java applications.
• Lead technical architecture and design of Java projects.
• Create scalable architectures for payment routing and fraud detection.
• Develop real-time fraud decisioning tools using data and ML insights.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive technical decisions.
• Perform validation tests and conduct performance assessments.
• Generate detailed system reports and provide improvements.
• Contribute to code reviews and maintain coding standards.
