Dow Jones is seeking a Staff Data Engineer to design and deliver scalable data platforms powering analytics, product experiences and business decisions. You balance hands‑on development with technical leadership in the Technology team.

You will lead architectural direction, drive cross‑team initiatives, and partner with engineering, product and analytics to solve complex problems and improve outcomes.

Formación

• 7+ years of software or data engineering experience.
• Experience with data lakes and modern data orchestration (Snowflake, dbt, Airflow).
• Strong programming and query skills (SQL, Java, Python) and API design (REST/GraphQL).

Responsabilidades

• Lead and architect large-scale data engineering initiatives with clear business impact.
• Drive data quality, reliability, and maintainability improvements across data systems.
• Mentor teams and align cross-functional stakeholders to strategic data initiatives.
