Stripe is seeking a Staff Software Engineer for the UI Platform (Sail) team to shape the technical direction of the services that power Stripe's user interfaces. You will combine hands-on engineering with leadership to deliver platform capabilities across the Dashboard, mobile apps, and other interfaces.

You will lead architecture reviews, mentor engineers, and coordinate across product, design, and backend teams to ensure scalable, reliable experiences.

Formación

• This is a staff-level role, which typically means 10+ years of experience building complex, reliable, scalable APIs or distributed systems
• Track record of leading the technical design and delivery of large projects across multiple engineering teams
• Experience setting technical direction and translating strategy into an executable roadmap

Responsabilidades

• Define cross-team technical strategy, architecture, and multi-year roadmap for backend services.
• Lead design and delivery of scalable backend services for consistent user experiences.
• Build reusable platform capabilities to help product teams develop and operate.
• Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and designers to connect design system, SDKs, APIs.
• Provide hands-on technical leadership via architecture reviews and mentorship.
