Affirm is seeking a Staff Software Engineer, Backend for Identity International to set the technical strategy for the team on a yearly horizon, aligning with product management, design and analytics to deliver scalable identity services across markets outside North America.

You will own operations, reliability, and code standards, mentor engineers, participate in on-call rotations, and drive architecture improvements in AWS, MySQL, Spark and Kubernetes to support growth while maintaining strict

Formación

• 8+ years designing, developing and launching backend systems at scale.
• Experience with Python or Kotlin and distributed architectures.
• Proven ability to deliver major features and plan technical execution.
• Comfort with ambiguity and end-to-end architecture discussions.
• Strong communication and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
