Job summary

Talan Spain is seeking a skilled Java-focused Quant Developer for a 100% remote role. You will improve batch performance, integrate quant libraries, and maintain code quality with tests and security fixes while keeping the CI pipeline green.

Collaboration with Quants, Data and the IMM team is essential to deliver reliable, scalable analytics solutions. Experience in numerical computing, Spark and Parquet, and strong English (B2/C1) are required.

Qualifications

• Strong Java experience with performance, memory and multithreading considerations.
• Numerical computing and heavy calculations with parallel processing capability.
• Build & test tools: JUnit, Git, CI/CD; data tooling: Spark and Parquet.
• Proficient English level: B2/C1.

Responsibilities

• Improve performance so the daily batch runs on time.
• Integrate the quant libraries.
• Keep quality high — write tests, fix security findings, keep the CI pipeline green.
• Work closely with Quants, Data, and the IMM team.

Nice to have skills

• Cloud - Experience with AWS is a plus.
• Finance (nice to have) — basic understanding of risk/XVA.Can be learned on the job.
