Adient is a global leader in automotive seating. Sr Quality Engineer – Customer Liaison is based in Barcelona, Spain. You will act as interface between customer JIT and Trim production, performing on-site problem analyses and coordinating improvement actions.

The role requires driving improvement actions, validating results, and supporting Trim engineers with technical knowledge and feedback loops. Travel about 70% is expected.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent technical qualification required.
• Professional quality management experience in automotive industry.
• Experience in customer quality management and direct OEM/Tier 1 communication.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a structured root-cause approach.
• Knowledge of automotive quality tools and methods (VDA 6.3, 8D, FMEA, Poka‑Yoke).
• Fluent English; German is a plus.
• Willingness to travel about 70%.

Responsabilidades

• Interface between customer JIT and Trim production plant.

• Verify improvement actions at JIT plants.
• Coordinate sorting activities at JIT plants.
• Support local Trim engineers with technical knowledge and feedback loops.
• Maintain boundary book between OEM, JIT and Trim plant.
• Monitor KPIs: customer satisfaction JIT, firewall metrics.
• Audit firewall processes and follow up on action plans.
• Inspector Gauge R&R evaluation and training.

Which qualifications are we looking for in potential employees?

• Technical education (Bachelor’s degree or equivalent technical qualification).


• Proven professional experience in quality management within the automotive industry.


• Experience in customer quality management and direct communication with OEMs and Tier 1 customers.-


• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a structured approach to root cause analysis.-


• Good knowledge of automotive quality management tools and methodologies, e.g. VDA 6.3, 8D, FMEA, Poka-Yoke, Ishikawa, 5 Why.-


• Fluent English (written and spoken); German is an advantage.-


• High willingness to travel (approximately 70%).
