The Role

The Senior Automated QA Engineer is responsible for developing and executing automated tests to ensure the quality and reliability of software applications. This role involves performing manual testing when necessary, debugging issues, and defining corrective actions. The engineer ensures that products meet quality standards before release. Additionally, staying updated with industry trends and technologies is essential to improve the QA process continuously.

Qualified candidates should have experience in mobile testing and automated test script development.

This position is vital for delivering high-quality mobile and web applications that meet user needs and support the company's growth. The expertise of the QA Engineer ensures applications are robust, scalable, and user-friendly, contributing significantly to the company's success in the competitive mobile app market.

Responsibilities

1. Develop and maintain automated test scripts.
2. Execute automated test cases and analyze results to identify software defects.
3. Perform manual testing when automated tests are not applicable or to verify automated test results.
4. Design and document detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on project requirements.
5. Collaborate with developers to reproduce issues and provide detailed defect reports.
6. Conduct regression testing to ensure existing functionalities remain unaffected by new changes.
7. Review and improve QA processes, methodologies, and tools.
8. Ensure compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements.

Experience & Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in a QA role, including automation experience (Selenium, Appium, BDD tools like Cucumber or RSpec).
• Basic knowledge of API and microservices architecture.
• Experience testing mobile applications.
• Experience working in an Agile environment with Scrum principles.
• Strong analytical skills, accuracy, and a positive attitude.
• Proficiency in English, both verbal and written.
• Self-assertive, able to work independently and in a team.
