The Senior Project Manager – will be based out of Nextracker’s Madrid, Spain office, In this role, you will oversee a team of Project Managers within the EU region, ensuring best in class service by each employee on your team for their assigned customers. You will also ensure safety protocols are followed on project sites and manage customer accounts/projects from procurement to commissioning while providing technical support and maintaining customer satisfaction. Additionally, responsibilities include overseeing customer accounts, project teams, managing whole customer account or project finances, coordinating logistics, and advocating for customer needs within the company.

Job Description:

• Responsible for your own safety, and shared responsibility for the safety of allNEXTracker staff, contractors, and visitors to your project sites. A good understanding ofWHS principles and safety management is required
• Read, understand, and comply with NEXTracker company policies andprocedures as outlined from time to time
• Responsible for managing whole customer accounts or groups of Projects from PO to Commissioning and takingownership of all aspects of these Projects
• Responsible for managing 5 or more direct reports to effectively manage an entire team of Project Managers and Sr. Project Managers
• Responsible for overseeing the success and development of direct reports
• Provides technical support for NEXTracker customers, ensuring a best-in-class customerexperience and providing product and systems expertise to the customer
• Develop and maintain technical understanding of PV solar tracking systems andassociated tools
• Ensure a strong customer care experience and be able to effectively communicateresolutions for customer issues
• Coordinate the ordering of tools for the Projects and ensuring availability of tools andtraining for the Projects
• Manage Project P&L including revenue forecasting, invoicing, cash flow and costmanagement
• Provide customer field support for installation and quality control, including drivingresolution to quality issues by Non-Conformance Report and Construction DeviationReport processes
• Coordinate and drive the successful on-time delivery of all products needed from PO todelivery, liaising with Design Engineering, Supply, Logistics, freight forwarders and thecustomers.
• Establish, measure and report key performance indicators for customer care to drivebehavior and performance
• Play a key role in cross-functional product teams, providing recommendations based onsystems integration expertise and customer needs assessment and feedback
• Supports product development, sales, and marketing as requested
• Internal customer voice, an advocate for the customer within NEXTracker

Here is some of what you’ll need (required)…

• Minimum 5-10 years of combined Project Manager and Sr. Project Manager experience gained in energy, construction, mining, oil & gas fields
• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience required
• Strong project management skills and qualifications
• Ability to manage direct reports with a high degree of professionalism
• Experience interfacing with supply chain procurement and logistics
• Experience in and talent for dealing with customer support and O&M issues
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Demonstrated leadership capabilities
• Passion for solar or renewable energy
• Strong knowledge of PV technology and its applications
• Hands-on experience with photovoltaic tracking solar systems a plus.
