Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree
• 5+ years of experience in product or program management, product marketing, business development, or technology
• Experience managing products through their entire lifecycle from inception to launch
• Experience overseeing roadmap strategy and definition
• Experience with feature delivery and trade-offs of a product
• Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product
• Experience leading cross-functional teams to deliver products to global markets
• Experience communicating technical concepts to a non-technical audience
• High attention to detail, including precise and effective customer communications, and proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously
• Experience working with stakeholders across many functions
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to use data and metrics to back up assumptions, recommendations, and drive actions

Job Summary

As a Product Manager in Amazon Common Software for devices, you’ll shape the future of connected devices and bring solutions from concept to reality. You will be part of a PM team with broad charter and senior executive visibility. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, is highly technical, and has experience working with large engineering teams. It also requires customer-focused entrepreneurs passionate about innovation and product ownership.

Key Responsibilities

• Write business requirement documents and define use cases, features, and KPIs
• Create business cases and go-to-market strategies
• Collaborate with customers and internal/external partners to identify features, priorities, and user journeys
• Manage the entire product lifecycle from inception to launch
• Inspire the team with the product vision and work cross-functionally to bring the product to life
• Plan and launch products with customers, including Beta testing
• Engage regularly with senior executives to represent your project within broader strategies

About the Team

Ideal candidates will have an MBA or Bachelor's/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Science, Math, or a related field. Experience with cross-domain operating system components, platform and hardware adaptation, Amazon SDKs/devices, open source, and software architecture is preferred. Prior experience in a software development team and knowledge of middleware, APIs, UI design, and developer tools are also desirable.
