We are seeking a Sr. Payroll Officer to oversee the payroll operations for Spain, France and Sweden. This role is responsible for compliance ensuring the organization follows all payroll wage and hour laws. This leadership role will work directly with key leaders in-country as well as Corporate Payroll Leaders in the United States. This role requires strong communication skills, problem solving, organization and collaborative attributes. This leadership role will position itself to encourage compliance, teamwork and a focus on our teammates overall experience. The Sr. Payroll Officer will be asked to lead and partner on large complex projects to stabilize our payroll operations in Europe.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Responsible for the payroll operation of France, Spain and Sweden.
  • Ensure the payroll operations follows legal regulations.
  • Support operational and employee inquiries related to payroll.
  • Ensure the collection and preparation of payroll inputs including data on worked hours, overtime, deductions, and bonuses are accurate and the process efficient.
  • Develop processes and procedures with best practices.
  • Partner with HR, Finance and Operations to establish practices and processes that align with all.
  • Collaborate with Payroll PEOs in each country to ensure smooth payroll operations.
  • Ensure payroll is reviewed and verified from providers for accuracy.
  • Manage tax and employee benefits payments.
  • Prepare and present reports for management and finance departments.
  • Lead and or assist in special projects and presentations.

Skills and Qualifications :

  • 5+ years of payroll leadership and supervision.
  • Strong understanding of accounting fundamentals and payroll best practices.
  • Payroll certification(s) a plus.
  • Expert knowledge of wage and hour laws.
  • Proficiency in English, French & Spanish is required.
  • Excellent customer service skills with a focus on accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and familiarity with payroll software; experience with Oracle is a plus.
  • High level of organizational ability and attention to detail.
