Job summary

Mitek is hiring a software engineer in Spain to work on the Trust Platform and other identity solutions. You will contribute to front-end and back-end development, leveraging React, Go, and cloud services to deliver secure, scalable digital identity features.

The role emphasizes data-driven, innovative problem solving, collaboration in a virtual-first environment, and opportunities to work with a global team on a fast-growing market.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
• Experience with front-end SPA frameworks (React).
• 5 years back-end programming experience; 1–2 Go ideal.
• Experience with tests (unit/integration/performance).
• Proficient in Docker and cloud development (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Infrastructure as code (CloudFormation, Terraform).
• Proficiency with Git and English (spoken/written).

As a member of Mitek’s Engineering team in Spain, you will be working on our latest products and solutions that will help to transform mobile banking and the identity authentication markets.

One example is our Trust Platform solution, a single scalable and modular platform that delivers unique insights by bringing together identity and transaction signals that balance fraud and user experience in real-time with every transaction across the customer journey, to enhance security, reduce fraud, and streamline compliance while improving their user experience.

What You'll Need (Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities):

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
• Relevant experience with front-end SPA frameworks (React).
• Knowledge, skills and abilities typically associated with 5 years of relevant back-end programming experience, 1-2 Golang would be ideal.
• Experience writing unit tests, integration tests and performance tests.
• Also writing clean, maintainable, and production hardened code.
• Experience with Docker and cloud development (AWS, Azure, GSP).
• Experience with cloud provisioning with infrastructure as code using CloudFormation, Terraform and/or similar.
• Proficiency with Git.
• Proficiency with spoken and written English.

What Would Be Nice (Preferred Skills & Experience):

• Experience with Next.js and TypeScript Cypress or similar front-end functional testing tools
• Experience developing distributed systems based on a serverless technology or micro-services architecture.
• Knowledge of Relational and Non-Relational Databases.
• Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) such as S3, SQS, ECS, EC2, and Lambda.
• Experience with Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of Go.
• Bash scripting and Java, Groovy and Python programming languages.
• Experience using Agile methodologies and practices.
