As a Senior Director of AI/ML, you will play a pivotal role in driving industry-level impact by harnessing Keysight’s deep measurement expertise and vast datasets that fuel the world’s most influential electronic applications. You will lead a world-class AI research and engineering team, spearheading advancements in supervised and unsupervised learning, generative models, temporal learning, multimodal input streams, reinforcement learning, and large language models. Your leadership will be instrumental in transforming AI into real-world, scalable solutions that set new benchmarks for performance, security, and reliability.

About the Role :

We are seeking a visionary AI/ML leader and deep technical expert to shape and execute Keysight’s product-focused AI strategy. Reporting directly to the executive leader of Keysight’s central technology organization, you will lead the central AI technology team responsible for Keysight’s AI platform, MLOps, and model development.

In this high-impact, cross-functional leadership role, you will work as a strategic horizontal with product and solutions teams across Keysight’s business verticals to:

1. Define Keysight’s AI strategy and roadmap to establish industry leadership in Design, Emulation, and Test.
2. Drive foundational AI technology initiatives within the central technology organization, ensuring the right frameworks, playbooks, and capabilities are in place.
3. Scale AI impact across the enterprise, empowering business units to rapidly develop and launch AI-driven offerings that enhance customer value and accelerate product growth.

This role demands deep AI/ML expertise, strategic business acumen, and leadership excellence to influence and unify AI efforts across the organization. You will lead and scale a high-impact global team of ~30 professionals, ensuring AI is a transformative force across Keysight’s product ecosystem.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

AI Features Strategy :

1. Define and execute a company-wide strategy to scale AI adoption across the organization, fostering an AI-driven data culture and accelerating the deployment of ML-based products and features.
2. Leverage Keysight’s market-leading position in Design, Emulation, and Test, aligning AI initiatives with cross-organizational strategies in data management and workflow optimization.
3. Partner with stakeholders to prioritize high-impact AI opportunities, ensuring rapid value creation while establishing a scalable framework for long-term AI integration across businesses, market segments, and technical domains.

AI Platform Roadmap and Execution :

1. Lead the advancement of Keysight’s AI platform and MLOps infrastructure, ensuring seamless AI adoption across all business units.
2. Collaborate with business leaders to identify AI-driven opportunities, assess business needs, and develop an AI capability roadmap that drives structural transformation and software growth.

Visionary Thought Leadership :

1. Serve as Keysight’s premier AI/ML technical leader, driving thought leadership and establishing the company’s reputation for AI excellence.
2. Engage directly with customers, industry leaders, and key stakeholders, navigating both technical and commercial domains to position Keysight as an AI innovation leader.

Technical Expertise and Innovation :

1. Stay at the forefront of AI advancements, leading research and experimentation with cutting-edge AI algorithms, techniques, and tools.
2. Optimize AI technologies for Keysight’s unique use cases, particularly those involving high-mix, low-volume datasets.
3. Scale the AI platform’s technical expertise, ensuring that AI capabilities are deeply embedded across the company.

Talent Leadership :

1. Recruit, develop, and lead a high-performing AI team, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous innovation.
2. Define strategies to leverage deep technical domain expertise across Keysight, ensuring AI-driven breakthroughs across product lines.

Stakeholder Engagement :

1. Partner with executives, business unit leaders, product managers, and R&D teams to understand AI needs, challenges, and expectations.
2. Collaborate closely with Product Management leaders to identify AI use cases, prioritize initiatives, and develop strong business cases for AI-driven projects.

Communication and Collaboration :

1. Communicate effectively at all levels of the organization, tailoring messaging for executives, technical teams, and cross-functional stakeholders.
2. Foster a collaborative, inclusive culture, encouraging cross-functional teams to share ideas, insights, and successes in AI-driven initiatives.

AI Governance and Standards :

1. Establish and uphold AI governance frameworks, policies, and standards, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, ethical guidelines, and data privacy protocols.
2. Work with functional leaders and governance teams to drive responsible AI deployment across the organization.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS :

1. Advanced degree (Master’s or PhD) in AI/ML, Computer Science, or a related field with several years of proven industrial experience in predictive machine learning, deep learning (DL), and statistical machine learning (ML).
2. Proven leadership experience in managing departments, business units, or R&D teams in AI/ML, with a track record of driving innovation and business impact.
3. Strong strategic and problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate complex technical and business challenges and lead organizational change.
4. Demonstrated success in delivering AI products from concept to deployment, ensuring high-quality, impactful real-world applications.
5. Experience collaborating across organizations to integrate AI technologies into scalable, unified solutions while fostering a culture of innovation and inclusivity.
6. Expertise in predictive modeling and various machine learning algorithms for supervised and unsupervised learning.
7. Proficiency in programming languages, particularly Python and C++, with hands-on experience using TensorFlow or PyTorch.
8. Deep experience in MLOps workflows, including data platforms, training infrastructure, and edge deployment.
9. Ability to thrive in dynamic environments, manage multiple programs, and meet tight deadlines while fostering a collaborative, growth-oriented culture.
10. Commitment to responsible AI development, including data governance, model validation, and ethical considerations in AI.
11. Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage diverse audiences, including executives, technical teams, and cross-functional stakeholders.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS :

1. PhD in AI/ML, Computer Science, or a related field, with a recognized track record as a technology visionary in predictive ML (beyond GenAI applications).
2. Proven ability to build, develop, and inspire high-performing AI/ML teams, with a focus on fostering diverse talent and inclusive innovation.
3. Industry expertise in markets relevant to Keysight, such as commercial communications, aerospace/defense, and industrial electronics.
