Senior DevOps Engineer (Portugal- UK- Spain)

At Parser, we are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to focus on deploying, maintaining, and scaling industrialized products in cloud environments. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Infrastructure as Code, networking, and container orchestration, ensuring robust, secure, and efficient solutions that meet business needs. This role requires strong ownership, problem-solving skills, and collaboration across teams.

Responsibilities include:

• Design, deploy, and maintain AWS infrastructure and services for scalability, reliability, and security.
• Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform.
• Manage container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes (EKS) and ECS, along with CI/CD tools like ArgoCD and GitHub Actions.
• Configure networking services including VPCs, security groups, and routing protocols.
• Implement compute, storage, and serverless services following security and performance best practices.
• Monitor and troubleshoot systems using logs and monitoring tools.
• Automate workflows and develop tools to improve deployment and infrastructure monitoring.
• Write optimized SQL queries and develop Python scripts for system performance.
• Ensure compliance with cyber security standards and data privacy regulations.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate product requirements into technical solutions.
• Document processes, workflows, and best practices for maintainability.

Technology stack:

• Cloud: Strong experience with AWS (compute, storage, serverless, networking).
• Languages: Python, SQL.
• Frameworks: Terraform, ArgoCD, GitHub Actions.
• Microservices: Kubernetes (EKS), ECS, deployment, and scaling.

Qualifications:

• 6+ years in DevOps, with strong AWS experience.
• Expertise in Terraform and container orchestration tools.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
• Deep understanding of networking configurations.
• Scripting and querying with Python.
• Version control with Git.
• Monitoring, incident management, and troubleshooting skills.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity standards and compliance.
• Clear documentation skills.
• Ability to deliver quality work under pressure.
• Excellent English communication skills.

Location:

• UK: Hybrid model, 2–3 days in office weekly.
• Spain or Portugal: Remote, with one 3-day trip/month to the UK.
